Kathy has experience in retail management. Heather has experience with nursing, specifically mental health. Daniel has experience with business and entrepreneurship. We all had individual areas where we were struggling with getting started accomplishing goals.
Danny: As a serial entrepreneur, I have created multiple businesses. While hanging out with my sister, we began to discuss accomplishing goals. I started reading about setting goals and forming habits. I did extensive research on keystone habits. Keystone habits are the habits acquired that form the basis of our daily lives. I learned that these are the basic foundation of all successful people. I read about the average habit takes 66 days. Turns out, the research suggests that easier habits only take 30 days to stick, while harder habits can take up to 8 months. It made me realize that by changing your keystone habits, the habits that form our daily lives, you begin to unlock the potential of taking on the harder habits. This starting point is where the Start Here Challenge comes in. It is a place to start building a foundation that sets you up for your big goals live. While doing a planner I purchased online, I found it overwhelming to complete the 100 days the journal required. I was bored with the same question over and over again. Does repetition help? Absolutely, but I wanted to create something that was also an adventure. Where every page you were taking a new approach to the same goal. We all have different learning methods. The variety in techniques allows you to discover which one works best for you. Together with my mom and sister, we selected the ones that proved to be the most valuable to put in the Challenger.
